Join us for an insightful webinar on selecting the most effective passivation techniques for Corrosion-Resistant Alloys (CRA) to ensure successful fabrication. This event will address common contamination issues in welded fabrications, such as grease, carbon steel contamination, and heat tint. Attendees will learn about various treatment sequences to restore the passive surface, including solvent or caustic washing, surface abrasion, chemical pickling, and chemical or electrochemical passivation. Additionally, the session will cover the limitations and applications of the more recent scanning laser ablation technique.

Speaker
Dr. Graham Sussex has been a Nickel Institute consultant since 2014 and a Technical Specialist for the Australian Stainless Steel Development Association since 2001. With a career spanning since 1985, he has provided corrosion and materials consultancy in both the UK and Australia. Dr. Sussex is actively involved in the development of standards for stainless steel welding and pickling in Australia and the United States.
