ABSTRACT

Conventional vibration analysis and/or non-destructive testing revolves around accelerometers, strain gauges, etc., where measurements are performed in contact with the sample and typically require an Engineer at the measurement location, even if access is difficult. A non-contact measurement technique via Laser Doppler Vibrometry enables acquisition of vibration data from a distance of >300m, eliminating the need to access difficult, sensitive locations.
